ABOUT THE FILM
Co-produced with Unitivity Productions, LLC, the film was the winner of the Television, Internet & Video Association (TIVA) of DC’s 2014 Bronze Peer award in the Independent Short category. Smith, who also stars as Erebus the Vampire, was, too, awarded a Gold TIVA Peer award in the Acting on Camera - Fiction, Male category. In 2015, Dark Therapy had it’s LA premiere at the famous TCL Chinese Theatres on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2019, the award-winning film received a worldwide distribution deal with REVOLT TV.

WINNER OF REVOLT TV’S “HIP HOP HALLOWEEN” SHORT FILM CONTEST
In 2019, REVOLT, an American music-oriented digital cable television network founded by Sean "Diddy" Combs, teamed up with Audience Awards to launch the inaugural “Hip Hop Halloween” short film contest. From the overwhelming number of submissions, REVOLT chose seven winning short films, including Rumination, based on their unique takes on horror, supernatural, suspense, thriller, or sci-fi themes, all told through the lens of Hip Hop culture. The winning films aired in a special two-hour episode of “Short & Fresh” on the REVOLT network and its On Demand platform and received a three year, worldwide distribution deal.
